We have announced the winners of our Worcester Stands Tall giraffe selfie competition.

Following on from our sponsorship of An Outstanding Source with The Hopmarket and Fisher German, we launched a ‘You’re having a giraffe!’ competition to encourage residents and visitors to the city to upload selfies with one of the Worcester Stands Tall giraffes onto Instagram.

The lucky winners have been announced as Louise Hawker from Worcester and Maya Dennis from Cornwall.

Clare Jackson, our Group Operations Director said :“It was fabulous to be involved with Worcester Stands Tall; we organised a number of related events and projects to support it through the summer and this competition was one of them.  Our focus is always about community so the fit was perfect for us. Congratulations to both of our winners!”

Sara Matthews, Project Manager for Worcester Stands Tall said : “We have been overwhelmed at how organisations like Fortis Living supported our city giraffe project.  It was a phenomenal success and one which we are all incredibly proud of.  Competitions like this really helped to spread the word about the event, while encouraging visitors to ‘have a giraffe’ on the trail too.  Well done both!”

Both winners were presented with High Street vouchers worth £50 each.

Maya Dennis from Cornwall said : “I visited Worcester with my family in the summer.  We hadn’t been before and it was great fun.  We came out of the train station and I saw a massive giraffe and they were all over the city. I am mad about giraffes so doing the trail was such fun – and I won the competition too!”
