Our award winning Communities Week returns on the 28th October

We're really happy to announce the return of our annual Communities Week later this month.

This week long campaign ,which aims to improve local communities, will take place between Monday 28 October and Friday 1 November.

The initiative offers the opportunity for customers, local companies and employees to get involved in their communities.

Projects during the week will include:

You and yours

This digital project – which will take place at 8 venues across the county – is aimed at enabling participants to improve their ICT (Information and communications technology) skills and create a family tree using Ancestry.co.uk.

Tim Marsh, Digital Transformation Officer at Fortis Living, said: “Everything is online now, but a recent survey found that 6.1million people in the UK are digitally disengaged, while another 22 per cent do not have the essential digital skills needed for day to day life.  Our family tree events will show people that learning how to use a computer can be fun; it is all part of our Communities Week drive to help people to help themselves.
