We are running our Loving Later Life event on Tuesday 26 March.
The free event – which will take place in the St John’s area of the city – will be held at three different venues at Fortis Living’s St Clements Close complex :
- Support services at Dancox House;
- Local activities and days out at Russell House;
- Health and well being at The Sky Lounge in Cripplegate House.
Booking is not required; more than 20 local organisations – including Age UK, Freedom Leisure and Deaf Direct - will be available across the three different venues to offer free information and advice. There will also be free refreshments for all those attending.
Chris Reed, our Community Engagement Team Leader said : “As a social landlord we don’t just offer housing; it is a crucial part of our work to engage with our customers, help them to access services and support development of a sense of community. This free event will offer a host of valuable and useful information to our older customers. All are welcome.”
We have held similar events before but this is the first to be held at these venues. The event has been planned in response to feedback that there are great services around but people don’t always know about them.
There is no parking on site but 2 hours free parking is available at Aldi and Homebase, a 5 minute walk away.
Free transport places are also available on a first come first serve basis. Pick up points are at Bilford Court, Rowan Court, Chelmsford Court, James Close, Parkheath in Hallow, Himbleton House and the Co-op at Gresham Road in Dines Green. To find out pick up times and to book, please contact Worcester Wheels on 01905 450654.
